November 6th, 2011 by Andrew No comments »

So it’s getting to that time of the year, fireworks night has been and gone and the weather is finally getting colder. Time to get the pub into winter mode!

Over the next couple of weeks we will see the log fire back up and running, mulled wine on the bar and this year the possible introduction of mulled cider!

Not forgetting our Winter Beer Festival at the end of this month.

Keep warm this winter at the Tap!

Fish & Chip Friday

November 4th, 2011 by Andrew No comments »

Friday night at the WHT is Fish & Chip night. Fresh Cod fried in our very own beer batter is served with Hand Cut Crinkle Chips and either Mushy or Garden Peas. What better way to spend a Friday night than with a British classic accompanied by some top notch real ale or a glass or two of wine.
