For once this headline is not just an attention grabber but actually the truth.

We’re having a competition to find out the best real ale we have had in the WHT so far this year.

The most popular beer will be ordered for our Lion Hart Beer Festival in August and all entrants to the competition will go into a prize draw to win a gallon of beer to drink (with friends) at the Festival!!

Lion Hart Beer Festival

The 10th Anniversary Lion Hart Beer Festival is nearly upon us. The festival will take place from Friday 26th August 6pm until Bank Holiday Monday 29th August.

As usual the festival will take place across both pubs, the White Lion, Sopwell Lane and ourselves.

This year we will have over 50 different ales, ciders and perries including our own brew of Lion Hart Ale!!!

At the WHT we will be having various events across the weekend to compliment your drinking, these include; a curry tent on Saturday evening featuring 4 different curries; live music from The Fabulous Beatles in the pub also on Saturday evening; a gourmet burger BBQ on Sunday and an Hog Roast on BH Monday.

Let The Home Fires Burn!

It’s that time of year again, the cold is here and the fires need lighting.

Why not come down to the Tap and enjoy the cosy warmth of our log burning fire with a pint of one of our 6 different real ales or maybe even a glass of warm mulled wine.
