Mothering Sunday

March 14th, 2010

Veggie RoastMothering Sunday at The White Hart Tap was a busy yet relaxed atmosphere with plenty of Mum’s taking centre stage and enjoying the break from the cooking and washing up.

Roast Beef and Roast Leg of Lamb were the two main options for Roast dinner, accompanied by our Vegetarian Roast, which has been voted best in St Albans by the St Albans Blog.

Our Sunday Roasts were again sold out, with the Roast Beef selling out last Thursday from pre orders!

This highlights the need to book in advance to avoid disappointment for our popular Roast dinner. Check the blog weekly to find out what meat will be available alongside the Roast Beef.

Call us on 01727 860974 to make your reservation now.

St. Patrick’s Day at The Tap

March 11th, 2010

guinnessThe celebration of St. Patrick is upon us once more. To mark the event this year the White Hart Tap will be offering a range of Irish delights to help you get in the mood.

We will be serving from the kitchen; Irish Stew, Oxtail braised in Guinness and Irish Sausages served with Colcannon and Whisky sauce. These will be available throughout the week.

In addition as St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Wednesday this year we will be coinciding it with our weekly quiz, which will have an Irish theme to it.

As expected we will have the usual irish drinks including Guinness and Jameson’s whiskey.

So come and raise a glass/knife/fork to St. Paddy at The Tap!
